I spent more money on my training than on my MBA degree. I read books, listened to podcasts, and spent countless hours studying and refining my craft.
And today, I’m declaring that I’m done with it.
The coaching industry, while well-meaning, has an undercurrent of blame that courses through it.
– Your life isn’t perfect? It’s because you aren’t focusing on what you want.
– You haven’t achieved your goals yet? It’s because you have a limiting belief. *Just* identify that and you’ll be good to go.
– Communication issues? Knee-jerk reactions to triggers? Health problems? Any problem? Well, you must be at the effect of your life.
And that is so damaging to the opportunity for change and growth. I participated in this narrative. And today, I am saying I am sorry.
Yes, there is a time and a place for goal-getting, action-taking, and limiting belief busing…but there’s also the human condition. Which is much more complex, nuanced, and fragile than a one size fits all approach to change work.
And that’s where my magic lies. I have a natural disposition for empathy, compassion, and genuine curiosity about how we interact with the circumstances of our lives. And in showing up for myself and my clients in that space, I have been able to witness true transformation and growth.
I will be operating from this space moving forward. My approach is human-centered, YOU-centered. Because having space to process emotions and discover a path forward is so much more productive than troubleshooting and fixing.
You aren’t a problem to be solved.
I am focusing my practice on helping people navigate big life transitions in the areas of love, loss, and career. If you are looking for support as you navigate the unknown, please reach out. I am taking clients on a session-by-session basis. All sessions are 90 minutes, giving you ample time to process and discover.
If this feels right for you, or someone you know, I look forward to connecting.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
